It started after the 45-year-old took to her Instagram account to share a photo of herself donning layers of workout gear on Tuesday, July 2. "When anxious, wear at least two pairs of trousers and several bras just to tether anything that could panic and kick out," so she wrote in the caption.
While most commenters were praising her laid-back style and her funny caption, one particular person wasn't impressed that much. "[You] dress like a teenage [sic] but ur a older lady," wrote the troll, adding laughing and thumb's down emojis.
Instead of going full on raging, the "Pearl Harbor" actress epically and sarcastically responded to the commenter. "hahaha omg you're a hoot can we hang out," she said. Fans were loving her clapback, with one of them writing, "best part of your posts is the random comments you reply to. I sit on the edge of my seat to see which ones you will respond to. I can't sleep until I find out."
It's not the first time Kate's hilarious replies caught people attention. The star, who is regularly featured on Comments by Celebs, previously hit back at the troll who wrote that he was "disappointed in your dating choices" when she was rumored to be dating "Saturday Night Live" star Pete Davidson. She told the person how she was "fairly let down by your wonky beard but thought [it was] possibly rude to say."
Pete and Kate sparked romance rumors after they were snapped leaving a Golden Globes after-party together. "They were being very flirty together. They were sitting very close on the outside patio seating," a source told Page Six. "Kate had her hand on his knee, and she kept laughing at all his jokes."
