AceShowbiz - Chris Martin's representative has shut down rumours of a new romance with pop star Dua Lipa after they were allegedly spotted kissing backstage at Britain's Glastonbury festival.

The Coldplay frontman, 42, is newly single after splitting from actress Dakota Johnson in May, but it was reported that he had already moved on after seemingly getting close to "New Rules" hitmaker Dua over the weekend (June 28-30).

"As soon as Chris caught Dua's eye, he was over like a shot - and he didn't leave her side all night," a source told Britain's The Sun. "She seemed happy to be in his company and even introduced him to her family."

The insider added, "There was clearly a lot of chemistry between them - and when they headed to the Guerilla bar in the Shangri-La area (of the venue), he saw his moment and they shared a kiss."

However, a spokesperson for Chris has dismissed the claims, insisting his relationship with Dua, with whom he collaborated on her 2017 track "Homesick", is strictly platonic.

"Contrary to reports in some press today, we would like to confirm that Chris Martin and Dua Lipa did not kiss at Glastonbury and are just friends," the rocker's publicist told MailOnline.

"They were both in the same area of the festival with a larger group of friends."

Gwyneth Paltrow's ex-husband has been hanging out at the festival after making surprise appearances onstage with rapper Stormzy, who headlined the main stage on Friday night, and joining Kylie Minogue on Sunday afternoon, while Dua, a regular attendee at the annual event, has been joined by her mother Anes and sister Rina to enjoy the three-day bash.

Dua, 23, hasn't been short of male attention since calling it quits with her on/off boyfriend, chef Isaac Carew, in May.

She was also alleged to have been courted by model Anwar Hadid, the 20-year-old brother of fashion darlings Bella Hadid and Gigi Hadid, while spending time in Los Angeles in recent weeks.
