Recalling the incident at Anfield Stadium on June 25, member of the emergency delivery team John Matthews dishes that there was not enough time to get heavily pregnant Denise Jones to hospital.

AceShowbiz - A Pink fan who gave birth to a baby girl at the singer's Liverpool concert on Tuesday night (June 25) has named her daughter after the pop star.

Denise Jones went into labour during the "Trouble" singer's Anfield Stadium show and paramedics onsite helped her deliver her daughter, who she has named Dolly Pink.

John Matthews, who was among the emergency delivery team, told the Liverpool Echo it was clear the fan was "heavily pregnant and showing signs of being in labour".

"We took the decision to move her as quickly as possible to the First Aid Room underneath the Kop stand (at the soccer stadium). We continued to assess her and established she was going to have to deliver the baby in the stadium as there was not enough time to get her to hospital.

"It took less than five minutes. We didn't have time to get concerned or worried, we just had to crack on and get on with it. There was no equipment in the first aid room, just a couple of beds. This doesn't happen very often and I'd never delivered a baby in Anfield before. When things go well, it's always a good feeling. She did it all naturally, there was no time for pain relief."

The new mum was upset she missed the concert but thrilled her labour was straightforward and quick, adding, "The plan was to call her Dolly Louise but since she was born in the concert we've changed it to Dolly Pink."
