AceShowbiz - Britney Spears' dad is suing the man behind the popular Absolute Britney blog, accusing him of defamation.
Jamie Spears, who serves as his daughter's conservator, claims Anthony Elia defamed him and Britney's aides when he alleged they were manipulating the pop star's Instagram account to create the illusion she needs help.
Elia accused Jamie and his team of deleting positive comments from Instagram in order to highlight the negative comments, calling it a "human right's violation."
Jamie's new lawsuit was filed by celebrity lawyer Larry Stein.
The so-called #FreeBritney campaign went into overdrive after the star reportedly checked herself into a mental health facility in April to seek help after becoming distraught over her dad's health woes following colon surgery.
Some fans were convinced Britney was admitted to a wellness clinic against her will but she insists that was not the case.
