Dropping the bombshell over the iconic shot taken by photographer Ben Glass, the 'Hidden Figures' actor spills that it happened because the 'I Will Always Love You' hitmaker 'had gone home.'

AceShowbiz - Kevin Costner has stunned fans of his hit 1992 film "The Bodyguard" by revealing the woman on the poster for the movie wasn't Whitney Houston.

The actor tells Entertainment Weekly that his co-star was unavailable for the shoot and so movie bosses opted to use a body double.

"She (Whitney) had gone home and that was her double, and her head was buried into my shoulder, which was appropriate anyway, because she was frightened," Costner explains, revealing the iconic poster shot was taken by his photographer pal Ben Glass.

"I sent it to Warner Brothers and I go, 'There's the poster!'."

In the hit film, Costner played the titular character - an ex-Secret Service agent assigned to protect R&B singer Rachel Marron, played by Houston.
