Facing five five felonies in relation to an Atlanta shooting in early February, the 'Downfall' rapper avoids house arrest, but is banned from going outdoors from 11 PM until 7 AM.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Lil Durk has caught a minor break in his attempted murder case after he was granted bond.

The "Like Me" star, real name Durk Derrick Banks, is facing five five felonies in relation to a shooting which took place outside The Varsity restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia in early February, when a man was shot in the leg.

The MC, who was arrested in late May, appeared in a Fulton County court last week (June 14), when the judge declared he be held without bond until his next pre-trial hearing in July, after ruling authorities had probable cause to charge him with the attempted murder count as he was allegedly caught on surveillance camera footage firing a gun at the victim from a car.

However, on Thursday, June 20, Durk's lawyers successfully argued the case for their client to be released on bond until his trial, insisting he is not a flight risk.

The judge agreed, and set his bond at $250,000 (£197,000), which he is expected to post on Friday.

According to TMZ, Durk will not be placed under house arrest, but will have to stick to a strict curfew, banning him from going outdoors from 11 pm until 7 am.

The rapper, who previously served time for a weapons charge in 2011, had previously insisted he was innocent.

He is facing charges of criminal intent to commit murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and associating with a criminal street gang to participate in a crime.
