The 'Dark Phoenix' actor has signed on to portray Austrian nobleman and CIA operative Malko Linge in the movie adaptation of Gerard de Villiers' bestselling spy series which he will produce.

AceShowbiz - Michael Fassbender has signed on to star in the movie adaptation of Gerard de Villiers' bestselling spy series "S.A.S."
The "X-Men" star will also produce "Malko", which Oscar-nominated screenwriter Eric Warren Singer is revamping for the big screen.
He'll portray Malko Linge, an Austrian nobleman and freelance CIA operative, in the planned Lionsgate film series, according to Deadline.
The first film will be based upon de Villiers' book Checkpoint Charlie.
