AceShowbiz - Ciara has blasted a troll who scolded her for appearing in the video for Taylor Swift's new acceptance anthem "You Need to Calm Down".
The 33-year-old portrays an officiant for real-life gay couple Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Justin Mikita's make-believe wedding in the promo, which debuted on Monday, June 17, and not all her fans were delighted to see her.
One took to Instagram and wrote: "You shouldn't be doing this... We love you but this is wrong," prompting Ciara to clap back, writing: "Firstly, Christians don't judge. Secondly, #YouNeedToCalmDown."
Swift was thrilled with her celebrity cameos, which also included Ellen DeGeneres, RuPaul and Katy Perry, writing: "The #YNTCDmusicvideo is out! First, I want to say that my co-stars in this video are AMAZING. Please celebrate by supporting their work, following them, and going to see them perform. I'm SO grateful and SO EXCITED I ACTUALLY DO NEED TO CALM DOWN."
Cardi B, who didn't actually appear but was portrayed in the promo by Drag Race queen Trinity K Bonet, loved the tribute, calling the video "sooo cute".
