AceShowbiz - Colombian singer Juanes is set to be honoured with the coveted Person of the Year Award at the Latin Grammy Awards.
The 46-year-old will receive the accolade during the Las Vegas, Nevada ceremony in November, where he will be celebrated for his decades-long career.
In a statement, the star reminisced about his very first Latin Grammy nominations following the release of his debut album, "Fijate Bien", in 2000.
"I remember attending the Latin Grammy nominations announcement after my first solo album was released, and becoming so overcome with emotion from the shock of hearing my name called seven times that I had to step outside for a moment to process how my life had just changed forever," Juanes said. "I was blessed to win three awards that year, and The Latin Recording Academy has been a fundamental part of bringing my music to a global audience ever since."
The star has previously taken home 23 Latin Grammy Awards and two U.S. Grammy Awards.
Mexican pop rock band MANA were presented with the prize last year (2018).
