'The Batman' Four Main Villains Allegedly Revealed

The characters' details come with descriptions of actors sought by director Matt Reeves to fill the roles in the upcoming DC movie, which will feature Robert Pattinson as the superhero.

AceShowbiz - After finding the new Batman in Robert Pattinson, Matt Reeves has reportedly continued the search to fill the roles of villains in his upcoming movie. Words are "The Batman" will feature four main villains who all are from the comic books, including three who have been featured in previous big-screen adaptations of the DC superhero.

According to Geeks World Wide, Reeves' so-called Rogues Gallery for the movie includes The Riddler, who will likely be the main villain. He is described as "a criminal mastermind in Gotham City who takes delight in incorporating riddles and puzzles into his schemes, leaving them as clues for the authorities to solve." The helmer is reportedly looking for a male actor of any ethnicity between the ages of 30 and 40 to play the character.

The second villain is said to be The Penguin, "a Gotham City mobster" who is described as a "short, obese man with a long nose, and he uses high-tech umbrellas as weapons." A male actor of any ethnicity between the ages of 20 and 40 has a chance to take on the role.

Catwoman is the next villain who is reportedly going to be featured in the movie. A "Gotham City burglar," she "wears a tight one piece outfit and uses a bullwhip for a weapon." An actress of any ethnicity between the ages of 20 and 30 is welcomed to audition for the role.

The fourth villain is allegedly "a professional arsonist known as the 'Firefly'." He "attempts to burn all the places that he lacked the privilege to go as an orphan child." For this role, Reeves is seeking a male actor of any ethnicity between the ages of 20 and 30.

Unlike three first three villains who have been featured in previous Batman films, Firefly is lesser known, but he has appeared as a secondary antagonist in the 2013 video game "Batman: Arkham Origins". He's also featured in the DC Animated Movie Universe film "Batman: Bad Blood" (2016), with Steve Blum voicing the character.

This villain line-up, however, has not been confirmed by Reeves or Warner Bros. Filming for "The Batman" is expected to begin in London this fall for a summer 2021 release.
