The incident, where a man made a move on the 'Terminator' star's gold bike, took place when the actor was finishing his morning workout at Gold's Gym in Venice, California.

AceShowbiz - Arnold Schwarzenegger has his bodyguard to thank for thwarting an alleged thief who attempted to steal the movie star's bicycle.

The "Terminator" actor was finishing his morning workout at Gold's Gym in Venice, California on Friday, June 07 when a man with a bandana covering part of his face approached the bike rack outside the venue and made a move for Schwarzenegger's gold bike.

His security team had been waiting nearby in a car, and his bodyguard jumped into action, pulling out his Taser gun as he confronted the suspect.

In video footage posted on Instagram by an onlooker, the male is shown being taken to one side and quizzed about his intentions, while Schwarzenegger exits the gym and claims his bike, before hitting the road.

According to TMZ, the former Governor of California decided against having the police called to file a report, and the man, who has not been identified, was allowed to walk free.

The incident occurred just weeks after the 71 year old was attacked from behind at a sporting event in South Africa.

An unnamed male was caught on camera launching himself at Schwarzenegger at the Arnold Classic Africa in Johannesburg on 17 May as the actor signed autographs and posed for photos with fans.

The force of the flying drop-kick pushed him forward into the crowd, but he subsequently brushed off the incident, insisting he wasn't injured, while also revealing he would not be pressing charges.
