A spokesperson for the latest James Bond movie has announced earlier that the filming of controlled explosion damaged the 007 set at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England.

AceShowbiz - Officials from Britain's Health and Safety Executive (HSE) are looking into an explosion on the set of the new James Bond film that injured a crew member.

Producers revealed that the 007 Stage at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England was damaged and one person left injured after a "controlled explosion" went wrong on Tuesday, June 04.

An HSE spokesperson tells WENN they are in the preliminary stages of probing the incident, saying, "HSE is aware of the incident and making enquiries to establish whether an investigation will be carried out."

Announcing the on set accident, a spokesperson wrote on the official 007 Twitter account, "During the filming of a controlled explosion on the set of Bond 25 today at Pinewood Studios, damage was caused to the exterior of the 007 Stage," a spokesperson posted on the movie's official Twitter page. There were no injuries on set, however one crew member outside the stage has sustained a minor injury."

According to British newspaper The Sun, the explosion that went awry caused a giant fireball, which set part of the building's roof on fire.

The 25th official James Bond film has suffered a torrid production process so far, with the producers' first pick as director, Danny Boyle, dropping out to be replaced by "Beasts of No Nation" filmmaker Cary Joji Fukunaga.

"Bond 25" star Daniel Craig, 51, was also injured during filming in Jamaica last month, causing him to undergo "minor ankle surgery." Norwegian environmentalists have also complained about shooting taking place in the Scandinavian country's unspoiled snow-covered forests.

"Killing Eve" writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge has also been drafted in to spruce up and modernise the movie's script.

The film will also star Rami Malek as 007's new nemesis, as well as "Captain Marvel" actress Lashana Lynch, "Game Night" actor Billy Magnussen, and returning "Bond 25" cast members Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Naomie Harris, and Jeffrey Wright.
