Just a week after he was cleared of rape accusations, the former JLS member finds his mansion in Spout Hill, Croydon destroyed by inferno which cause is under investigation.

AceShowbiz - Former JLS star Oritse Williams' London home has been gutted by fire, just a week after he was cleared of rape.

More than 70 firefighters were called out to battle the blaze on Tuesday, June 04, and crews were still on the scene on Wednesday morning.

According to London Fire Brigade officials, the fire has destroyed large parts of the second and third floors of Oritse's mansion, as well as sections of the roof.

Police officers are now investigating the fire and, while they are treating the incident as suspicious, they have yet to make any arrests.

"Police were called at 16:39 hrs on Tuesday, 4 June following reports of a fire at a residential address in Spout Hill, Croydon," a Metropolitan Police spokesperson told WENN. "Officers attended with the London Fire Brigade. There were no reported injuries. There have been no arrests. At this stage, the incident is being treated as suspicious. The cause of the fire is under investigation".

Crews from eight fire stations helped tackle the inferno, which comes just a week after the "She Makes Me Wanna" hitmaker left court a free man following a rape trial.

The 32-year-old was arrested in 2016 after a woman claimed he raped her at the Ramada Park Hotel in Wolverhampton, England after they partied together following one of his solo gigs. Oritse was cleared of rape unanimously by the jury, while his manager Jamien Nagadhana, also 32, was found not guilty of assault by penetration.

His former bandmate Marvin Humes expressed support for his pal following his acquittal, praising how he had conducted himself during the trial, and writing that his "three years of hell is over!".
