Senior coroner Andrew Walker believes the combination of cocaine, ethanol, antidepressants and paracetamol in the 'Love Island' star's system could make one 16 times more likely to end own life.

AceShowbiz - "Love Island" star Mike Thalassitis killed himself after taking drugs and alcohol, an inquest ruled on Wednesday, June 05.
Mike, a former soccer player who rose to fame after appearing on the popular British dating reality show in 2017, was found hanging in a park near his home in north London, in March. He was 26 years old.
At North London Coroner's Court, senior coroner Andrew Walker, heard the TV star left a notebook with messages to his family at the scene of his death. Toxicology results showed cocaine, ethanol, antidepressants and paracetamol in his system.
According to the BBC, Walker ruled his death a suicide, and showed that he left messages "which clearly set out his intention that his life should come to an end." He also said U.S. research had shown that the combination of alcohol and drugs Mike had taken could make someone 16 times more likely to kill themselves.
His fellow "Love Island" contestant Montana Brown gave evidence to the hearing and said her co-star had been in a "dark place" in the months before his death.
Outside the hearing, Mike's manager and agent Dave read a statement from the Thalassitis family which said, "Today's inquest concluded the sad news at the loss of our beautiful son and brother. Mike was a wonderful son and brother and will be dearly missed."
The tragic reality star was honoured in Monday's opening episode of the latest "Love Island" series.
His death and that of 2016 contestant Sophie Gradon last year sparked criticism of the reality show, with bosses at the ITV network pledging to offer this year's contestants extra mental health support and training.
