The 'Counting On' star, who has been married to Derick Dillard since 2014, advises married couples to 'have sex often,' adding that '3-4 times a week is a good start.'

AceShowbiz - After almost five years of being married to Derick Dillard, Jill Duggar has got candid about her secrets to a healthy marriage. The reality TV star shared shockingly NSFW tips to keep the spark alive in a June 3 blog post on the Dillard Family website.

On the top of the list, the 28-year-old wrote, "Have sex often!" She added, "You both need this time together regularly (3-4 times a week is a good start. lol). And when you may not be able to actually have intercourse for a period of time or for health issues, find other ways to have fun and be intimate."

"Let your spouse know that you're always available," Jill advised, adding that people should refrain from "fulfilling sexual desires alone." She further suggested people to "be open with your spouse about your desires and change things up to keep it exciting" and seek help from "a doctor and/or licensed counselor and don't be afraid to get second opinions" if "you're struggling with sex with your spouse."

Jill also wrote that women should "give at least a 6 second kiss when coming and going" with their spouses. Believing that looking nice for their men is important, the "Counting On" alum is against wearing "frumpy pjs" and going to bed without wearing makeup. She added that "going to shower in the evening and putting on fragrant lotion in front of him can be another way to say 'I care' and 'you're important to me.' "

Urging couples to "show affection in the home and in public," Jill shared another tip to spice things up. "Get new lingerie (online is an easy way to buy!) as a surprise gift for birthdays, holidays, vacations or whenever!" she wrote.

As important as physical intimacy is, Jill suggested people to be "open about everything: past, present and future" with their spouses. She additionally said that couples need "to get at least 15-20 min. of uninterrupted time to talk every day."

Despite her handful tips, the mother of 2 noted, "I don't claim to know everything about marriage, or to be presenting some solve-all advice, and I'm only really speaking to wives here, but I hope you find some of these tips to be encouraging!"
