Her best friend, Nicki Minaj, is reportedly trying 'like hell' to ease her pain, calling and checking on her as well as trying to lift up her spirit as much as possible.

AceShowbiz - Miracles apparently do not come for Rah Ali and her newborn daughter, who passed away shortly after being born prematurely. TMZ reported that the "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star, who was five months pregnant, was rushed to hospital over the weekend when her water broke and contractions started. Doctors were unable to save her baby.

It's said that the premature birth came as a complete shock for both Rah and her doctors, considering that she had never shown any signs of trouble with her pregnancy during doctor's visits. Rah was supposed to give birth in the middle of October. The baby would have been her first child with her mystery husband.

The site further reported that her best friend, Nicki Minaj, had been trying "like hell" to ease her pain. The "Starship" rapper allegedly was doing everything she could to be supportive, calling and checking on Rah. She also tried to lift up her spirit as much as possible considering the devastating situation.

Fans were shocked after learning of the news, given the fact that Rah never announced her pregnancy on social media. Apparently, the 35-year-old model was planning to spread news of her pregnancy in June after keeping it secret for five months.

Besides starring on "LHH: NY", Rah is known to be the person who gave Cardi B a lump over her eye during the latter's infamous fight with Nicki at the Harper's Bazaar party last year. "Rah held her head and punched her like eight, nine times, and I could hear it, I'm talking like the hardest punch you've ever heard in your life," Nicki recalled during an episode of her "Queen Radio".

"Rah really, really beat Cardi's a** bad," she continued saying. "Rah beat you so bad. I was mad at Rah. You went home and told people security hit you, and we let that ride for legal reason."
