Contrary to previous rumor suggesting that Marvel is considering to introduce Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool in 'Spider-Man 3', a new report says that the studio wants Tom Hardy's Venom to appear in the upcoming movie.

AceShowbiz - The next Spider-Man movie may feature a crossover with another Marvel character, though it's not the one which was reported before. Following claim that the studio is keen on introducing Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool in the third movie, now it's suggested that Tom Hardy's Venom who will appear in the "Spider-Man: Far From Home" sequel instead.

A Twitter user, Roger Wardell, shared the alleged juicy bit on his account as writing, "There are no plans to add Deadpool in an MCU Spider-Man 3, but Sony desperately wants Tom Hardy's Venom in this movie. Deadpool had his own movies but never showed up in the main X-Men films, it will be the same for the MCU." Wardell previously revealed huge "Avengers: Endgame" plot details which were later proven to be accurate.

Wardell's tweet also suggests that Disney will keep the "Deadpool" franchise separated from MCU properties, despite the $71.3 billion acquisition of Fox's entertainment assets in March.

Wardell's claim contradicts previous report which said that Marvel Studios is planning to integrate the wildly successful "Deadpool" franchise into its already vast Marvel Cinematic Universe. The report also said that Disney would like to continue the "Deadpool" franchise with "Deadpool 3" or feature the Merc with a Mouth on a Disney+ series. The last option, however, was considered less likely since the program's family friendly format won't allow the foul-mouthed antihero to be as edgy as he is in the first two movies.

Prior to this, there had been rumor that "Venom (2018)" would feature Tom Holland's Spider-Man, but it never happened. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, however, didn't rule out the possibility of the two characters appearing together in a future movie, saying last year, "We never say never." He added though that the said crossover was unlikely to happen "any time soon."
