Lauren Swanson is pregnant with the couple's child seven months after she suffered a miscarriage, as the 'Counting On' stars call the blessing 'rainbow after the storm.'

AceShowbiz - Josiah Duggar and wife Lauren Swanson are set to welcome a new addition to their family later this year. The couple has announced that they are expecting a child, seven months after Lauren suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage.

Taking to Instagram to announce the news, the couple shared photos of them holding sonogram pictures and a sign that read, "Rainbow after the storm. Baby #2." In another image, Josiah hugged Lauren from behind as they cradled her growing baby bump.

"We are so excited to announce that baby #2 is on the the way!!!! It's hard to fully express just how grateful we are for God blessing us again with another precious gift!" they wrote in the caption. Remembering their first child, they revealed the name that they would have given their bundle of joy, "So, as we rejoice of the life of our second sweet baby, we also remember (balloon as symbolism) our other sweet baby, Asa, in heaven. God is so incredibly good!"

The couple also said in a statement posted on the family's website, "God's faithfulness to us in our most difficult moments has sustained us and brought us such love and comfort. We cannot begin to tell you how much we are looking forward to holding this baby in our arms this fall. Every good and perfect gift is from above and we are looking forward to this new season of parenting together!"

Josiah's parents Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar also expressed their excitement about the couple's pregnancy, writing, "We are so thrilled for Lauren & Josiah expecting! It was very difficult losing their first child in a miscarriage, but now God has blessed them with another child on the way. This year we are going from 12 to 17 grandkids, soon they are going to outnumber our own kids, we are so grateful for each one of them."

Lauren suffered a miscarriage in October 2018, three months after they got married on June 30 of last year. They revealed the sad news on "Counting On" earlier this year. "Lauren and I were actually preparing for a trip to go to a friend's wedding," Josiah said on the show. "She started feeling really sick and started noticing some different things. Mrs. Swanson was there, so she was able to help her out. I didn't know exactly what was going on."

Lauren also tearfully recalled, "I wasn't feeling well. I was cramping really, really bad, which was quite strange because I normally don't. I was thinking maybe I had something that had gluten in it. It was late at night and I went to use the restroom and there was the baby. Gone. I couldn't believe it and I was hoping it wasn't true."
