The 'Dark Phoenix' actor, the 'Baby Driver' star and 'Game of Thrones' alum Peter Dinklage are in early talks to star in the reboot project, which will be Gibson's next directorial work.

AceShowbiz - Mel Gibson is eager to sign Michael Fassbender, Jamie Foxx, and Peter Dinklage to his next directorial project, a remake of "The Wild Bunch".

The actor and filmmaker already has a trio of movies he will star in packaged up for sales at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival in France, but now he is making plans to get back behind the camera following 2016's "Hacksaw Ridge".

According to Deadline, Fassbender, Foxx, and Dinklage are all in early talks to join "The Wild Bunch (2020)", a revamp of Sam Peckinpah's 1969 Western, which follows a group of ageing outlaws as they tackle one last big job.

Gibson co-wrote the script with Brian Bagby, while Jerry Bruckheimer is set to produce the Warner Bros. movie.

Production is expected to begin this autumn.
