Social media users take to Twitter to express their disagreement that shaving counts as washing as the 'ME!' hitmaker suggests that soap and shaving cream are interchangeable.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift has heated up a very random social media debate about personal hygiene. The country-turned-pop superstar left people scratching their heads with her answer to a question that has gone viral, "Do you wash your legs when you take a shower?"
Ellen DeGeneres couldn't help asking the question to the 29-year-old singer when she appeared as a guest in the Wednesday, May 15 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". But Taylor's answer only made people baffled as she said, "I do, because when you shave your legs, the shaving cream is like soap, right?"
Seemingly agreeing with the "ME!" hitmaker, Ellen said, "It is. I think that's the reason why most women wash their legs, because we have to, because we shave our legs." She added, "Unless you're not shaving, and then you're not washing. So whenever you're not shaving, you don't wash, you're saying."
"No, I don't think I would say that," Taylor responded. She clarified, "But I kind of always shave my legs." Ellen wasn't fully convinced that the singer shaves her legs everyday, joking, "God, you must be hairy."
And Ellen wasn't the only one confused by Taylor's answer. People on Twitter couldn't agree with the blonde beauty who counts shaving as washing. "Taylor Swift said 'shaving cream is basically soap' so as long as she shaves her legs, she doesn't need to wash them in the shower," one reacted to the interview.
Another wrote, "Taylor Swift deada** said that she washes her legs in the shower because she uses shaving cream and that's kind of like soap." Someone else also disagreed with Taylor, "How the hell do u not wash ur legs in the shower??? Huh?? U just stop after ur butt and that's it?? Taylor Swift said she don't wash her legs but she shaves them girl that is not the same thing wtf."
Some others couldn't believe that people would stop short at washing their legs when taking a shower. "Im confused isn't the shower supposed to be the place where you wash EVERYTHING?!" a bewildered user asked. "Omg! Why would anyone not wash their legs in a shower," another retorted, while some others think it's gross to not wash their legs.
Taylor has not responded to the social media debate over her answer. Ellen, meanwhile, shared the results of a poll to the question, with 75% saying yes to washing their legs. 10% said they didn't wash their legs, while the rest said their did it "sometimes."
