The call for a re-do of Season 8 comes a day after fans blasted the hit fantasy series' penultimate episode wherein Emilia Clarke's 'mad queen' character led a fiery dragon rampage.

AceShowbiz - An online campaign to urge HBO executives to remake the last six episodes of "Game of Thrones" has swelled to 500,000 signatories.

A dissatisfied fan launched the Change.org petition on Monday, May 13, demanding network bosses rework the show's final season with a new group of creatives.

"(Show creators) David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on," the originator of the list wrote. "This series deserves a final season that makes sense. Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!"

The outcry came a day after fans blasted the show's penultimate episode, which aired on Sunday, May 12. Many were left more than a little upset by a fiery dragon rampage, led by Emilia Clarke's "mad queen" character Daenerys Targaryen, and the sudden deaths of a handful of regulars.

And now the disgruntled fans have spoken in their droves, demanding a complete do-over.

Among the comments left by fans signing the petition, one suggested the final season "seems rushed," adding the writing "totally disrespected the ('Game of Thrones') author" George R.R. Martin.

The final episode of the fantasy drama airs on Sunday in the U.S. and Monday in the U.K.
