The "Sin City" actress thrilled fans with a selfie clip, taken from behind, as she sat, topless, enjoying the sun at a mystery location.
The star, who turned 40 on May 9, captioned the clip: "Here's lookin' at you 4D (sic). Cheers...!".
The mother-of-one was inundated with compliments and birthday wishes from fans, with one person commenting: "Omg u are so BEAUTIFUL," and a second devotee adding: "40 is the new 20 doll...you look wonderful. Happy Birthday!"
A third fan simply called the actress, who is currently dating U.S. presidential hopeful Cory Booker, a "Natural beauty".
