The former 'Undateable' actor has responded to the 'Lose Yourself' hitmaker's battle tweet days after he declined to accept a cut of royalties for the latter's 'Homicide' single.

AceShowbiz - Eminem is set to go head-to-head with comedian Chris D'Elia in a friendly rap battle.

"The Good Doctor" actor first came to Eminem's attention in February, after viewing a 2018 comedy video in which the funnyman mocked the rap veteran's style of flow.

The impression was so uncanny, the "Lose Yourself" hitmaker himself admitted he was almost bluffed by the footage.

"This is INCREDIBLE!!! 4 a second I actually thought it WAS me (sic)!!" he tweeted at the time, leaving D'Elia in awe.

Eminem subsequently decided to sample D'Elia's freestyle on his new Logic collaboration, "Homicide", which was released last week, ends May 03, and on Tuesday, May 07, the hip-hop icon expressed his desire to face off with the funnyman in the near future.

"Me and @chrisdelia are gonna battle one day," he posted on Twitter.

D'Elia has since happily accepted the challenge, responding, "Slim Shady (Eminem) himself called me out?! I accept."

It's not yet known when the two stars will step up to the mic, but the news emerges days after D'Elia revealed he had declined to accept a cut of royalties for the "Homicide" single.

"I was like, 'Nah, don't do that, just give it to 'em, it's fine," he told Billboard, recalling his conversation with the rappers' label officials. "I don't care, man. It's a huge honour. I have money coming in other ways. I don't need that."

He added, "I was doing it from a place of love - so many rappers take themselves so seriously, so when they show some humility or poke fun (at) themselves it goes a long way."
