AceShowbiz - Adele seems to be addressing her divorce from Simon Konecki while celebrating her 31st birthday. Taking to Instagram on Sunday, May 5, the British songstress shared a touching message in which she looked back at the past year and admitted to having tough times.
Along with several black-and-white pictures of herself, Adele wrote, "This is 31...thank f***ing god. 30 tried me so hard but I'm owning it and trying my hardest to lean in to it all. No matter how long we're here for life is constant and complicated at times. I've changed drastically in the last couple years and I'm still changing and that's okay. 31 is going to be a big ol' year and I'm going to spend in all on myself."
Explaining that the ups and downs of the past year helped her grow and embrace a new perspective on life, the Grammy-winning singer added, "For the first time in a decade I'm ready to feel the world around me and look up for once. Be kind to yourself people we're only human, go slow, put your phone down and laugh out loud at every opportunity. Learning to REALLY truly love yourself is it, and I've only just realized that that is more than enough. I'll learn to love you lot eventually."
Concluding the post, Adele teased that she would be releasing new music soon. "30 will be a drum n bass record to spite you. Chin up, eh," she said.
Adele announced divorce from Simon through her representatives in late last month. "Adele and her partner have separated," they said in a statement. "They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment."
Adele and Simon, who opted to keep their relationship private, tied the knot in 2017. They have a son named Angelo, who was born on October 19, 2012.
