During an interview at the 'Remix: Hip Hop x Fashion' world premiere at Tribeca Film Festival, Justin Combs assures that his rapper father is 'doing fine' as he continues to 'heal.'

AceShowbiz - It's been nearly half a year since Kim Porter died, and Sean "P. Diddy" Combs is doing much better compared to before, though he still continues to heal. His son, Justin Combs, offered an update on how his rapper father is dealing with the grief of losing his model ex-girlfriend during a recent interview with Us Weekly.

Assuring that the hip-hop mogul is "doing fine," Justin said at "The Remix: Hip Hop x Fashion" world premiere at Tribeca Film Festival on Thursday, May 2, "He's prayed up now, and everything is good. He's just healing." He added, "Just being with family and God, and just staying around each other."

The former football player went on gushing over Diddy during the interview, admitting that he most admired the rapper's "ability to believe and just not take 'no' for an answer. And just to keep recreating and innovating."

Kim died of pneumonia in November last year. Diddy has been honoring the late model on social media ever since then in addition to delivering an emotional eulogy during her funeral ceremony. Recently, he admitted in a magazine interview that the tragedy forced him to step up as a father and made him realize the need to be more present for his children.

"Before this, I was a part-time father, you know?" he said at the time. "My family was always first, but there are countless times when I chose work over everything else. But every day I can hear her telling me to go and spend some time with the kids and make sure everybody's all right, like she would do. I'm just a lot more present, and, most important (sic), now my kids come before anything else in my life."

Diddy and Kim were dating on-and-off for years before splitting for good in 2007. They share three children together, Christian Combs and twins D'Lila Star and Jessie James.
