The Migos member has become a wanted man in Georgia after a fan reported to the police an incident wherein the former smacked his cellphone out of his hand at a Target department store.

AceShowbiz - Embattled hip-hop star Offset has branded his latest legal woe "crazy" after becoming a wanted man in his native Georgia.

Authorities issued a warrant for the 27-year-old's arrest on Thursday, May 02, after he appeared to have been caught on camera smacking a fan's cellphone out of his hand at a Target department store in Sandy Springs, Atlanta last week, April 23.

The man, Junior Gibbons, claimed the screen of his $800 (£615) iPhone had been smashed as a result of the incident, and he reported it to police, who launched an investigation into the encounter.

The news emerged hours after the Migos star, real name Kiari Cephus, walked the red carpet at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Wednesday night with his wife, Cardi B.

Offset has yet to turn himself in to cops, but he made his feelings about the warrant clear in a messaged he posted - and then quickly deleted - on Twitter.

"HARDEST THING I EVER DONE WAS BEING A BLACK MEN (TARGET) AND A RAPPER (TARGET) s**t is crazy (sic)!!!" he wrote.

Detectives believe Offset's actions were intentional and he is now facing a felony charge of criminal damage of property in the second degree, reports the New York Post's Page Six.

Local police Sergeant Sam Worsham reveals the rapper's legal representative has since been in touch to discuss his surrender.

He says, "At this time, we've been in contact with his attorney and we're making arrangements for him to turn himself in."

"At this time, he has not turned himself in. The warrant is still active."

Offset is already in trouble with the law following his arrest in Georgia last summer (18), when he was accused of making an improper lane change, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.

The latter charge was subsequently dropped, but last week, ends April 26, police filed a new count for possession of a weapon by a convicted felon against the star.

He pleaded not guilty to the original counts in March and is due back in court later this month.
