AceShowbiz - Actor Rick Schroder is behind bars following an arrest on suspicion of domestic violence.
Los Angeles police were called to the former "NYPD Blue" star's home early on Wednesday, May 1, when he was accused of hitting his girlfriend.
Officers spoke to both Schroder and his partner, who has not been identified, and decided to take the 49 year old into custody, booking him for a felony, with his bail set at $50,000 (£38,200).
The alleged victim refused medical treatment at the scene, but according to TMZ, it wasn't the first time the couple had been visited by authorities.
Cops responded to a similar call on April 2, when Schroder was arrested for the same charge, amid claims suggesting he had punched his girlfriend in the face as she tried to leave the property.
He was released on bail following that incident, and prosecutors at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office declined to pursue charges due to lack of sufficient evidence.
Schroder's representatives have yet to comment on the news.
He split from his wife Andrea Schroder in 2016 after 24 years of marriage. The former couple shares four children.
