Last week, his immigration lawyers reportedly filed for a stay in federal court after his appeal was denied by the Board of Immigration Appeals. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, it was stated that Joe's removal would be postponed until the court had time to look over his appeal. Reps for the husband of Teresa Giudice have yet to comment on this report.
Joe is currently in the custody of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement after serving 41 months at the Federal Correctional Institution for mail, wire and bank fraud. Earlier this month, the Board of Immigration Appeals dismissed his deportation appeal. "We are extremely disappointed that the Board of Immigration Appeals has denied Mr. Giudice's appeal," his family said in a statement.
The statement continued to read, "We have filed a stay with the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and will continue to fight to keep Mr. Giudice in the United States, the only country he knows, and reunite him with his wife and four daughters."
