The 'Toxic' hitmaker reveals her family has received death threats which make things 'harder' for her, but she assures her fans, 'I am strong, and stand up for what I want!'

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears has broken her silence amid wild speculations about her mental health issue. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, April 23, the 37-year-old singer posted a video to say, "Hi guys, just checking in with all of you who are concerned about me. All is well. My family has been going through a lot of stress and anxiety lately, so I just needed a time to deal. But don't worry, I'll be back very soon."

She went on writing a longer message in the caption, addressing her "unique" situation. "I wanted to say hi, because things that are being said have just gotten out of control!!! Wow!!! There's rumors, death threats to my family and my team, and just so many things crazy things being said," she acknowledged.

Clarifying the swirling reports, she continued, "I am trying to take a moment for myself, but everything that's happening is just making it harder for me. Don't believe everything you read and hear." She blamed her former manager Sam Lutfi for fake emails which are circulating online, saying, "These fake emails everywhere were crafted by Sam Lutfi years ago... I did not write them. He was pretending to be me and communicating with my team with a fake email address."

"My situation is unique, but I promise I'm doing what's best at this moment," she assured her fans. "You may not know this about me, but I am strong, and stand up for what I want! Your love and dedication is amazing, but what I need right now is a little bit of privacy to deal with all the hard things that life is throwing my way. If you could do that, I would be forever grateful. Love you."

Britney's Instagram post comes two days after she was spotted taking a break from her rehab stay to reunite with her boyfriend Sam Asghari on Easter Sunday. The 25-year-old model told TMZ that the "Me Against the Music" hitmaker is "doing amazing" with her mental health treatment.

"[She's] doing great," Sam said on Tuesday. "Thank you very much. She's doing amazing. Her fans are amazing to be so concerned, but she's doing great." He added, "Nobody needs to worry. She's doing amazing. She'll be back soon."

Britney announced she's taking a little "me time" earlier this month to take care "of yourself, mind, body, spirit." It was later reported that the pop star was held at the mental health facility against her will, prompting her fans to stage a "Free Britney" protest in Los Angeles on Monday.
