The Ray star will be hitting the road later this year, picking up the mic as a funnyman again 30 years after getting a taste of the limelight in his very first stand up gig.

The 51 year old, who has since established himself as a successful actor and singer, announced the news to fans at a Grey Goose Live Vicariously event in New York City's Times Square on Tuesday, April 16.

"I'm going on my new tour - it's called Kill the Comedian," he said, according to the New York Post's Page Six. "Make sure you come check me out. I got these jokes for your motherf**kin' a**."

Foxx has proved his stand-up skills in three previous comedy specials - Straight from the Foxxhole in 1993, I Might Need Security in 2002, and 2003's Jamie Foxx Unleashed: Lost, Stolen and Leaked.
