In his first statement released after Wendy filed for divorce, the executive producer of 'The Wendy Williams Show' says, 'I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability.'

AceShowbiz - Wendy Williams' estranged husband Kevin Hunter has broken his silence, days after she filed for divorce. "The Wendy Williams Show" executive producer began his statement by praising his ex and mother of his 19-year-old son.

"28 years ago I met an amazing woman: Wendy Williams. At the time, I didn't realize that she would not only become my wife, but would also change the face of entertainment and the world," he said. "I have dedicated most of our lives to the business empire that is Wendy Williams Hunter, a person that I truly love and respect unconditionally."

Alluding to the cheating allegations, Kevin continued, "I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family and her amazing fans. I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs."

He promises to continue being supportive of Wendy as he added, "No matter what the outcome is or what the future holds, we are still The Hunter Family and I will continue to work with and fully support my wife in this business and through any and all obstacles she may face living her new life of sobriety, while I also work on mine. I ask that you please give me and my family privacy as we heal. Thank you."

PEOPLE reported that Wendy is cutting ties with Kevin, both personally and professionally. The site claimed that the daytime TV host would be firing Kevin as her manager. "She's not taking him back. He's being fired as her manager and she lawyered up big time," a source said of the former couple.

Page Six additionally said that Kevin is negotiating his exit as an executive producer on "The Wendy Williams Show", which he has been a part of since its launch in 2008.

Addressing her single life on her talk show on Tuesday, April 16, Wendy revealed whether she'd ever marry again after her failed marriage to Kevin. The 54-year-old host first asked the question to her guest Christie Brinkley who answered, "No!"

Wendy echoed, "Me neither," but then seemingly changed her mind, "I mean, I don't know." When Christie shared that she would "love to fall in love again," Wendy agreed as saying, "Yes!" She added, "It's nice to spoon at night. It's nice to sit by the fire with somebody."
