The 'Oops!... I Did It Again' singer recently announced she's taking a 'me' time and 'will do whatever it takes to get well,' even 'if that means walking away from performing.'

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears' indefinite hiatus could be a permanent one. The singer, who recently checked into a mental health facility to seek treatment, is reportedly considering retirement from performing as she continues her battle with mental health issue.

"Britney's only job is getting help and she has checked into a facility to seek treatment," a source tells Rob Shuter of the Straight Shuter podcast (via Radar Online). "She will do whatever it takes to get well and if that means walking away from performing, then so be it."

The source adds that Britney's closed ones will always have her back, whatever her decision is. "People around her are being very supportive and don't care about how much money she will be walking away from. She already has more cash than she can ever spend and now is desperate to find something that money cannot buy, happiness," so the source claims.

Britney announced her decision to take time to care for her well-being last Wednesday, April 3. She has delayed her Las Vegas residency, which was initially scheduled to begin on February 13, to care for her ailing father Jamie Spears. Words were the stress of taking care of her father took a toll on the 37-year-old's mental health.

"Britney decided to do this on her own. It had a lot to do with the stress of her father, but both Jamie and Britney are doing much better," a source told E! News. "It's the hope that in the next week or so everything will be more stabilized, but she'll be at this wellness facility for a few weeks."

Her boyfriend Sam Asghari, ex-husband Kevin Federline and mother Lynne Spears have all shown their support for her decision to seek help. She reportedly checked into a mental health facility in California.

On Thursday, April 11, the pop star was spotted at a Los Angeles-area hair salon. An eyewitness told E! News, "Britney arrived with three people from her team this morning to get her blonde roots touched up and extensions retouched." The source added, "She seemed fine and content... [She] was definitely excited to her hair done."
