A day after his California home was evacuated for fear of possible anthrax attack, the Monty Python member takes to Twitter to thank fans for their concern and first responders for their quick response.

AceShowbiz - Monty Python icon Eric Idle has assured fans he is "safe" after his California home was evacuated due to an anthrax scare.
Authorities were called to the comedian's property on Monday evening, April 08, after his assistant opened a piece of mail from Thailand, which contained what she thought was a suspicious white substance.
Local police and fire officials rushed to the Spanish villa-style residence and treated the incident as a possible anthrax attack, which can cause people to contract a bacterial illness if they come into contact with the powder.
Two women were taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution, but investigators subsequently declared it was a false alarm, as there was no such substance in the envelope, no trace of a hazardous chemical, and therefore no threat.
It's unclear if Idle and his wife, former model Tania Kosevich, were at home at the time of the emergency, but he has since taken to Twitter to put fans at ease.
"We are all safe," he wrote. "Thank you for your concern."

He then made reference to a popular tune from the comedy group's 1979 film "Monty Python's Life of Brian", adding, "Meanwhile, 'Always Look on the Bright Side of life...'"
Idle also promised to pay a visit to local authorities to personally express his gratitude for their quick response.
