Britney Spears' Beau Sam Asghari and Ex Kevin Federline Praise Singer Amid Mental Health Struggle

While Britney's current boyfriend admires her 'absolute strength,' her former husband commends the ' ...Baby One More Time' hitmaker for 'taking the reasonable steps to dealing with her situation in a responsible way.'

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears has received supportive messages from her closed ones after reports emerged that she checked into a mental health facility. Among them who spoke up about the singer's alleged mental health struggle is her boyfriend Sam Asghari.

The 25-year-old fitness guru and trainer shared on his Instagram Stories Britney's Instagram post in which she addressed her issue. He also reposted it on his Instagram account and wrote in the caption, "It isn't weakness, It's a sign of absolute strength, people should only be inspired by this, at least I am #stronger."

A source additionally assures that Britney and Sam are "still very much together" despite her latest rehab stint. The source tells Radar Online, "He is supportive of her recovery and only wants the best for her but this issue was too big for him to help with."

Meanwhile, Britney's ex-husband Kevin Federline praises the pop star for taking the necessary measure in dealing with the situation. His attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan tells ET, "Kevin commends Britney for recognizing that she needs to take a step back and that she is taking the reasonable steps to dealing with her situation in a responsible way. He wishes everyone well."

Britney's sister Jamie Lynn Spears didn't directly address the "Toxic" singer's issue, but she showed her admiration of her big sis in a throwback Instagram photo. "Yup, she rode the bus home with me after my first day of school, cuz she's the fn best #WCW," she wrote along with the photo showing her and Britney getting off a school bus.

Britney reportedly checked into a mental health facility as her father Jamie's health issue took a toll on her. She has been taking care of her father following a "life-threatening" colon rupture. "He nearly died and actually had another surgery a few weeks ago. He's not doing well," a source told PEOPLE. "They're so close and it has been a lot. There is nothing dramatic going on with her. She just realised she needs to make sure to take time to care for herself."

A source additionally tells Radar Online that Britney is "very unstable right now" and she's "having a really hard time" with her father's recent illness. "She says that her father saved her life, which he did," the source explains. "Jamie is not getting any better, so Britney is taking some time out to make sure she is okay."

Her father reportedly asked Britney to go to treatment, "because she means so much to him." She's said to be entering a mental health facility located in the Los Angeles area.

Addressing the reports on her Instagram page, Britney said, "We all need to take time for a little 'me time.' "
