The actress, who appeared in 'Ocean's 8', says that she's not a victim in the scandal, adding that having sexual intercourse with Kevin Tsujihara to boost her career is her choice.

AceShowbiz - British actress Charlotte Kirk has insisted she's "not a victim" despite being at the centre of a casting couch scandal.

In March editors at The Hollywood Reporter obtained a series of text messages which revealed the 26-year-old, who has had small roles in "Ocean's 8", "How to Be Single" and "Non-Stop", had embarked on a sexual relationship with Warner Bros. Chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara to boost her career.

Speaking to DailyMailTV, the actress expressed her regret over the situation and claimed she was never coerced into sleeping with the former studio boss.

"I don't consider myself a victim then because it was my choice," she stated. "I wasn't forced into anything and I did what I wanted to do - good or bad. I would make completely different choices now and I regret doing that."

Kirk was 21 when she was invited to the Hotel Bel-Air, Los Angeles, and promised the "opportunity of a lifetime" by businessman James Packer.

In later messages between Kirk and Tsujihara, the actress confirmed their relationship, "When we were in that motel having sex u said u would help me... Are u going to help me like u said u would?"

Tsujihara subsequently handed in his resignation from the company, who said the move was "in the best interest" of their employees and thanked the executive for his 25 years of service.

Reflecting on the situation, the actress stressed that she wants to be recognised for her talent and move on from the scandal.

"I have been thrust into the limelight and no one had heard of me before this," she said. "My intention was to make a big bang in the world but not for this.

"It's terrible but I'm trying to reverse that by showing people my abilities."
