Without giving away too much on the live-action version of 'The Lion King', the actor voicing Timon the meercat claims to have seen 'a rough cut' and admits he doesn't expect his own reaction.

AceShowbiz - Comic Billy Eichner has admitted he cried after hearing Beyonce Knowles sing Elton John's "Can You Feel the Love Tonight".

Billy appears in Disney's live-action "The Lion King (2019)" remake as the meercat Timon, originally voiced by Nathan Lane, who forms part of a beloved duo with warthog Pumbaa, now voiced by Seth Rogen.

And the "Friends from College" star spilled the beans on getting an early listen of the song, originally recorded by Elton, during a chat with Ira Madison III on Crooked Media's Keep It podcast.

Beyonce stars as the adult version of Nala but when the host questioned whether the "Drunk in Love" hitmaker was even in the film Eichner confirmed it is true.

"She's definitely in the movie because I've seen a rough cut," he confirmed. "And I've heard her sing 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight' with Donald Glover and I'm telling you, it's f**king good. And that was never my favorite song to be totally honest."

"I liked it when Elton John sang it. I love Elton John," he continued. "I don't want to give too much away about that, they do not want us talking about it. I will just say that honestly, it made me cry and I was not expecting that."

Rapper and actor Glover will play the adult version of Simba in the live-action remake which will feature completely computer generated visuals.
