The April break marks the troubled TV host's second time to take a hiatus from TV this year alone.

AceShowbiz - Wendy Williams is stepping back from spotlight amid personal turmoil. Following reports that her husband Kevin Hunter's mistress gave birth to their first child together, "The Wendy Williams Show" host is said to be taking a week-long hiatus from the daytime talk show.

According to Page Six, "The Wendy Williams Show" is set to air repeats next week. They will continue taping for new episodes the following week. "The Wendy Williams Show’ is taking a previously scheduled spring break hiatus and airing repeat episodes during the week of April 1st," a spokeswoman for the show announces in a statement.

"The show will return with original episodes on April 8th," adds the statement.

A source denies speculation that the April break has something to do with the goings-on in Wendy's private life. It has been allegedly planned since the fall and is just simply coincidental with the drama that is happening surrounding the TV host's personal life.

"This obviously has nothing to do with recent events," the production source says. "The staff is excited to have Wendy back, and they understand what's been going on with her, but it's business as usual."

The break marks the second time for Wendy to take a hiatus from TV this year alone. The 54-year-old just returned earlier this month from 2-month hiatus as she was receiving treatment for her Graves' disease. But things weren't smooth sailing as she revealed that she had been living in a sober facility to treat her addiction problem.

Things aren't looking good for Wendy for the past few weeks. In addition to her struggling to sober, it was reported that her husband's mistress Sharina Hudson gave birth to her and Kevin's child on Monday, March 25, after allegedly getting abortion twice.

Wendy had been photographed ditching her wedding ring while going in and out her show's studio. Multiple reports suggested that she only slipped the diamond band back in during the taping. She was recently snapped without a ring on her left hand as the TV personality stepped out of her show's studios in New York City this week.

This arrives after she made a surprise appearance with her husband on Wednesday. Bundling in a cheetah-patterned jacket which she paired with black bottoms and white shoes, the troubled TV host was seen wearing her wedding ring. She was joined by Kevin who opted for casual look. He donned a camouflage T-shirt which he wore underneath his jacket and paired it with olive cargo pants.
