Steven Jaco claims, in his lawsuit, that Redmond O'Neal stabbed him on the right side of his skull 'without provocation' in Venice, California in the summer of 2018.

AceShowbiz - Ryan O'Neal and Farrah Fawcett's son has been sued by a man he allegedly stabbed last summer (June 2018).

Steven Jaco claims he was attacked by 34-year-old Redmond O'Neal during a drug-fuelled rage.

According to his court documents, obtained by The Blast, O'Neal attacked Jaco "without provocation", in Venice, California.

The plaintiff insists Redmond was under the influence of drugs when he stabbed him on the right side of his skull, forcing Jaco to collapse in "excruciating pain".

He is now suing O'Neal for his medical expenses and other damages.

The attack was one of several incidents O'Neal was accused of carrying out during a violent crime spree, which saddled him with charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and criminal threats.

He was sued by another man last year, who accused Redmond of a hate crime.

O'Neal remains behind bars until his next hearing in July.
