After the MMA star made public his decision to retire at the age of 30 on social media, Dana White states that he is 'so happy' for the athlete and wishes him success outside of the octagon.

AceShowbiz - Conor McGregor has retired from mixed martial arts (MMA) fighting at the age of 30.
The sport's biggest superstar made the shock announcement on Twitter on Tuesday, March 26, telling fans he would no longer battle his rivals in the octagon.
"Hey guys quick announcement, I've decided to retire from the sport formally known as 'Mixed Martial Art (sic)' today," he wrote. "I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition. I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement. Proper Pina Coladas on me fellas!"

Conor lost his last MMA fight to his bitter rival Khabib Nurmagomedov in October and has been increasingly focused on his career outside of the sport in recent years.
The Irishman earned an estimated $100 million (£76 million) for his boxing prizefight against Floyd Mayweather, Jr. in 2017 and launched his own whiskey brand, Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey in September, a drink he promoted on Monday's episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon".
Dana White, the head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), welcomed the fighter's decision to retire and wished him well for the future.
"It totally makes sense," Dana said in a statement to the MMA Junkie website. "If I was him, I would retire too. He's retiring from fighting, not from working...He has accomplished incredible things in this sport. I am so happy for him, and I look forward to seeing him be as successful outside of the octagon as he was in it."
