Some think that the 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before' actor is not big enough to portray He-Man, while others are just excited that the character will be brought back to the big screen.

AceShowbiz - Noah Centineo is heading to the realm of Eternia. The 22-year-old heartthrob, who has been enjoying a sudden rise of fame after starring in Netflix's "To All the Boys I've Loved Before", is reportedly in talks to take the lead role of He-Man in Sony Pictures and Mattel Films' "Masters of the Universe".

Aaron and Adam Nee are set to direct from a script rewritten by "Iron Man" screenwriters Matt Holloway and Art Marcum. The Nee brothers also co-write the script. The project was previously written by David S. Goyer, who is also attached as an executive producer. Escape Artists' Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch will produce.

"Masters of the Universe", based on Mattel's popular toy line, follows Prince Adam, heir to the throne of planet Eternia, who uses a Power Sword to transform into the hero He-Man. With the help of his allies Teela, Man-at-Arms, Orko and The Sorceress, He-Man defends the kingdom from the evil wizard Skeletor, who seeks to gain control of Castle Grayskull, the source of He-Man's powers.

The character was first launched as a toy line and comics in 1982 and later spanned an animated series debuted in 1983. The character made its debut in the big screen with a 1987 live-action movie starring Dolph Lundgren as He-Man. The movie, however, was a commercial failure and was panned by critics.

Centineo has his breakout role for his portrayal of Peter Kavinsky in Netflix's adaptation of Jenny Han's novel "To All the Boys I've Loved Before". The former "Austin & Ally" actor recently also starred in "Sierra Burgess Is a Loser". He lands a role in upcoming "Charlie's Angels" reboot and will reprise his role in "To All the Boys I've Loved Before 2".

Following reports of Centineo's possible involvement in "Masters of the Universe", Internet responded to the news with mixed comments. "Ummm he's really tiny compared to he-man," one disagreed to his possible casting as He-Man.

Another echoed the sentiment, "Unless he is going to go through a Chris Pratt like athletic physical makeover Now if looking for a proper He-Man his name is Chris Hemsworth or Dwayne Johnson. John Cena maybe? Stop with this instagram popularity casting. Lol."

Another says Centineo being considered for the role is "ridiculous."

Another thinks Centineo's physical transformation for the He-Man role is possible. "For those who don't think this guy can transform into the Master of the Universe, consider this: (see photo). If Tom Hardy can do it, this guy can," the said user wrote.

Someone else was simply excited to see the hunky actor as the Mattel hero as writing, "YES PLEASE."

Since Sony and Mattel have not released an official statement on the casting news, Centineo's possible involvement in the project is subject to change.
