The memoir written by the 'Tiny Dancer' hitmaker will hit the shelves five months after his Taron Egerton-starring biopic, 'Rocketman', opens in theaters in May.

AceShowbiz - Sir Elton John has completed work on his "first and only official autobiography" as he wraps life on the road.

The "Tiny Dancer" hitmaker, who is currently travelling the world on his "Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour", has revealed the memoir he started three years ago will be released in October.

"I can't wait for you to see what I have to say about my life," he wrote on Twitter on Friday, March 08. "My life has been one helluva roller coaster ride and I'm now ready to tell you my story, in my own words. My first and only official autobiography will be released October 2019."

Henry Holt & Co. will publish the still-untitled 320-page tome, which hits stores five months after Elton's upcoming biopic "Rocketman" reaches cinemas in May.

"I'm not prone to being a nostalgic person," Sir Elton said when he announced the book in 2016. "I'm often accused of only looking forward to my next gig or creative project. It's come as quite a surprise how cathartic I am finding the process of writing my memoirs."

"As I look back, I realise what a crazy life I have had the extreme privilege of living."
