The 'Aquaman' star has safely arrived in Phoenix, Arizona after the aircraft reported an engine fire halfway through its flight.

AceShowbiz - Jason Momoa is the latest celebrity to have had a mid-air scare. The actor's private jet was forced to make an emergency landing in Palm Springs on Wednesday morning, March 6 after the pilot of the plane suspected that it caught fire.

It was the "Aquaman" star himself who broke the news about the emergency landing. "We got ourselves a slight delay. Half-hour out, Palm Springs, and the plane wanted to start a fire," he said in a clip on Instagram Stories after the plane safely landed.

Showing the fire department crew, he said in the next post, "So, yeah, good old fire department, gotta love 'em. Looks like we're driving." He added that he's getting picked up by a friend, but later he showed another private jet arriving, possibly to take them to their destination Phoenix, Arizona.

The Palm Springs Fire Department also confirmed the incident on its own official Instagram account. Posting a picture of ARFF engineer Andy Meza alongside the "Game of Thrones" alum, the department said that the engine fire scare turned out to be false alarm.

"Had an Aircraft emergency today. Reported engine fire with @prideofgypsies on board," it said in the caption. "ARFF Engineer Andy Meza told his crew, 'Not on my watch boys...not on my watch.' Turned out to be a false alarm but the ARFF Lads were on the ready. It's always nice to meet cool people."

Giving an update from his travel, Momoa posted another video on Instagram Stories, showing him and his friends have safely arrived in Phoenix. He was joking around while capturing his friend who bonded with a chihuahua.

Momoa's trip to Arizona was for business, but he didn't specify what his business was. He earlier showed a camera which was going to be used for "filming."

The 39-year-old hunk was recently added to the cast of Denis Villenueve's "Dune" remake, where he will play Duncan Idaho. He joined the already star-studded cast, which includes Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgard, Charlotte Rampling, Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin.
