Fans have to wait a little longer to see the new look of Sansa as the armor has yet to be featured in any of the pre-season photos or footage.

AceShowbiz - The much-anticipated eighth and final season of "Game of Thrones" is also a battle field for Sansa Stark. Sophie Turner, who portrays the Lady of Winterfell, shares to Entertainment Weekly that her character will don an armor in the upcoming season.

"This is the first time I've had armor," Turner reveals to the site. However, her new costume won't be like Jaime Lannister or Brienne of Tarth-style metal armor. Instead, it will be more like a jet-black ensemble made of thick leather or similar material.

"We [like] the idea of it being very protective and she buttons herself up," Turner explains. "I wanted her to have a bit of armor and be a bit more warrior like. She's like the warrior of Winterfell."

Previously, alleged list of season opener cast made its way out online, hinting at surprise returns of unexpected characters. If the list is to be believed, Robin Arryn (Lino Facioli) and Edmure Tully (Tobiaz Menzies) will make an appearance in the premiere episode of season 8.

Little Robin is last seen in season 6, in which he was being manipulated by Littlefinger to march the Knights of the Vale north. Meanwhile, Edmure Tully is pressumed to be dead since Arya didn't free him from the Twins in the season seven premiere. It's surprising to see him returning, prompting fans to wonder about his story.

Other supporting and secondary characters who are expected to appear in the first episode of season 8 are Anton Lesser as Qyburn, Hafpor Bjrnsson as the Mountain, and Pilou Asbæk as Euron Greyjoy. Rupert Vansittart, Bella Ramsey and Richard Rycroft, who portray Yohn Royce, Lyanna Mormont and Maester Wolkan respectively, are also among characters on the list.

Also starring Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage among others, the eighth and final 6-part season of "Game of Thrones" will premiere on Sunday, April 14 on HBO.
