Recreating the 'Apes**t' music video during their acceptance speech, the power couple stands in front of a portrait of the Duchess of Sussex.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z were honored with the International Group Award at the 2019 BRIT Awards which took place at the Millenium Dome, London on Wednesday, February 20. Unfortunately, they couldn't accept the trophy in person, so they sent a video to make up for it. Much to everyone's surprise, one unexpected person joined the power couple in the clip.

In their acceptance speech, Beyonce and Jay recreated their "Apes**t" music video, which found them posing in front of a painting of Leonardo da Vinci's "Mona Lisa". However, instead of using the same painting, the Carters were standing in front of a portrait of Meghan Markle donning a sparkling crown and pearl necklace.

"Thank you so much to the Brit awards for this incredible honor. You guys have always been so supportive. Everything is love. Thank you," Bey said to the camera, before Jay added, "You're welcome." The duo then turned to look at the portrait.

People were understandably stunned by the Duchess of Sussex's "surprise appearance," and it soon became a hot topic on the internet. "Just when I think I couldn't love Beyonce more. So happy to see that she and Jay Z are supporting the Duchess of Sussex. I'm super pumped!" one reacted as someone couldn't contain his/her excitement, "THE CARTERS STANDING IN FRONT OF THIS ICONIC PAINTING OF QUEEN MEGHAN MARKLE WE #BRITs."

"The HIGHLIGHT of the brits is The Carters paying homage to Meghan Markle," another tweeted, while one other wondered why Beyonce and Jay had a painting of Meghan. "Why have Beyonce and Jay Z had a picture of Meghan Markle done like that loooool Americans are so weird," so the said user wrote.

Other winners at the 2019 BRIT Awards included Calvin Harris and The 1975, both of whom scored double win during the event. Meanwhile, Pink became the first non-British artist to accept the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award.
