To receive Breakthrough Director of the Year Award for 'Booksmart', the 'Tron: Legacy' actress is praised by CinemaCon official for 'bringing a new perspective to the mind of young women.'

AceShowbiz - Actress Olivia Wilde will receive her first major directing prize at CinemaCon's Big Screen Achievement Awards following her debut behind the camera.

The "Tron Legacy" star made her directorial debut on "Booksmart", which will be released in the spring, and in April she will be feted at the gala in Las Vegas.

Wilde's high school comedy stars Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein as two young girls trying to catching up on all of the fun they missed out on while studying for exams on the eve of their graduation.

"With a dedication to telling stories that need to be heard, Olivia Wilde is bringing her voice to the big screen in her own way with 'Booksmart'," CinemaCon managing director Mitch Neuhauser says. "Bringing a new perspective to the mind of young women, audiences across the globe are sure to be entertained by this brilliant directorial debut."
