One of the reasons the staff reportedly doesn't feel comfortable working with the daytime TV star is her alleged diva behavior.

AceShowbiz - Many fans can't wait for Wendy Williams to return to "The Wendy Williams Show", but it is seemingly not the case with the staff on the show. A new report suggests that many staffers feel relieved regarding her absence since it means a better work environment.

According to Radar Online the employees hope that the 54-year-old daytime TV show star, who is taking a break due to her health issue, and her husband Kevin Hunter never return to the show. "It has been like a vacation having guest hosts," a source claims.

"Everyone is laughing and smiling and working together. We all had gotten so used to walking on eggshells around Wendy and Kevin, we forgot what a fun work environment was," the source continues to spill.

"At first the staff was worried about losing their jobs. Now it looks like the show can survive without Wendy, and a lot of people don't want her to return," the insider also says, adding that the staff feels reassured by the recent calming presence.

One of the reasons the staff doesn't feel comfortable working with Wendy is her alleged diva behavior. "There was so many unwritten rules with working with Wendy. You couldnt contact her directly. Only certain staff members could talk with her," the source shares. Additionally, her husband Hunter is deemed a "terror on set."

"No one was allowed to disagree with him. It was a nightmare work environment," the source goes on saying to the outlet. "You never knew what mood Wendy or Kevin were going to be in."

The host is on break from "The Wendy Williams" as she's focusing on getting herself recovered from Graves' disease and a fractured shoulder. "As Wendy Williams Hunter previously shared, she fractured her shoulder and has been on the mend. Over the past few days, Wendy has experienced complications regarding her Graves' Disease that will require treatment," her family revealed in press release on January 18.

"Wendy will be under the strict supervision of her physicians, and as part of her care, there will be significant time spent in the hospital. Despite her strong desire to return, she is taking a necessary, extended break from her show to focus on her personal and physical well-being," the statement continued.
