Taking to Twitter, the '7 Rings' singer claims that time isn't the real reason why she decides to pull out from the award-giving show.

AceShowbiz - The drama between Ariana Grande and the Grammys continues to heat up. Shortly after an interview with one of the show's producers, Ken Enrich, was published, the songstress took to Twitter on Thursday, February 7 to refute the claims that the producer made.

During the Associated Press interview, Enrich claimed that the singer felt it was "too late for her to pull something together" by the time they reached a compromise. "And it's too bad. She's a great artist," he noted. "And I'd love to get her in the show this year." In response to this, Grande said on the micro-blogging site that it wasn't the real reason why she decided to pull out of the event.

"I've kept my mouth shut but now you're lying about me," the "Thank U, Next" hitmaker began. "I can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken. It was when my creativity & self expression was stifled by you, that I decided not to attend. I hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more."

She continued explaining her plan for the performance, "I offered 3 different songs. It's about collaboration. It's about feeling supported. It's about art and honesty. Not politics. Not doing favors or playing games. It's just a game y'all... and I'm sorry but that's not what music is to me."

Concluding her response, Grande said, "Hope that helps everyone understands my decision I am still grateful for the acknowledgment this year."

Enrich declined to comment on her response.

Besides Ariana, Enrich revealed that Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino (Donald Glover) and Drake would not be performing at the event despite dominating the nominee list. It's also unclear whether or not they will attend the 2019 Grammy Awards. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift reportedly will skip the annual event due to filming in London.

Hosted by Alicia Keys, the 61st Grammy Awards will take place at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 10.
