AceShowbiz - Idris Elba is the latest actor to become attached to supernatural thriller "Deeper".
Max Landis wrote the script and bosses at MGM acquired it in 2016 with the idea of having Bradley Cooper and Gal Gadot star in the project. Hungarian director Kornel Mundruczo was also on board to direct, but it never came to fruition.
Now, Baltasar Kormakur has stepped into the director's chair to revive the film, which will centre on a disgraced astronaut on a deep-sea dive who has to face off against a sinister presence, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Filming is scheduled to begin in the spring.
