Though so, the Chapmans' family attorney says that the treatments are 'going well' as she's 'a very tough lady.'

AceShowbiz - Beth Chapman's continuing battle with cancer seems to have left its own complications. In her fight against returning throat cancer, the leading lady of "Dog the Bounty Hunter" started her chemotherapy treatment a couple of weeks ago, but it has reportedly taken a toll on her.

Sharing the news that the 51-year-old reality star has traveled to Los Angeles, California for the treatments was Chapman's family attorney Andrew Brettler. To E! News, he explained, "They are going well, but they certainly take their toll on Beth. She's a trooper though and a very tough lady."

Other sources close to Beth also revealed that the wife of Duane Chapman had been staying at family home in Colorado. TMZ reported that she is "responding well" to the treatments and "in good spirits". Still, it is noted that the chemotherapy has been hard on her, and that her cancer persists in a "very serious" level.

Beth was first diagnosed with stage II throat cancer back in 2017 and had to undergo an emergency surgery when it returned in November 2018. At the time, she was rushed to the hospital after she experienced difficulty in breathing. Doctors found a life-threatening blockage in her throat and had to remove the large mass immediately.

In December, news broke out that the Chapmans were looking for an alternative treatment. "Beth is preparing for the battle of her life," a representative told HollywoodLife.com. "She was given a 50/50 chance of the chemotherapy working, so the Chapmans are searching for other treatments, including in Boston, Houston, and possibly at MD Anderson."

Despite the grim situation, the rep insisted that Beth is still hopeful for a positive outcome. "Beth is very strong, very healthy, and very, very active," the rep explained. "They are trying hard to keep things as normal as possible for their children, but are desperately clinging to each other while they go through the search for a cure."
