The former 'Sex and the City' star sends fans into a frenzy as she uploads on her social media account a clip of her character making her way down a street in New York with a hashtag '#PourItForward'.

AceShowbiz - Sarah Jessica Parker has teased the return of her famed "Sex and the City" character for a new promotional campaign.

The actress has taken to Instagram to share video footage of herself as her onscreen alter ego, Carrie Bradshaw, strutting down a street in New York, dressed in a mint green tulle skirt and a gold lame jacket, paired with open-toed white lace heels.

The footage, which recreates the iconic introduction to the hit TV show, was also set to the "Sex and the City" theme tune.

"My old friend," Parker captioned the clip, which ended with the hashtag "#PourItForward" .

"She is making a brief reappearance. Partnering with a great brand and supporting a cause we all care about. More to come."

No further details about the upcoming partnership have been released, but the video tease was enough to send "Sex and the City" fans into a frenzy on social media.

"I can't wait to see what this is going to be!" exclaimed one Instagram follower, as another wrote, "CARRIE IS BACKKK (sic)".

The news emerges months after Sarah Jessica confirmed plans for a long-awaited third "Sex and the City" movie were officially dead, after a public 2017 falling out with co-star Kim Cattrall, who had repeatedly made it clear she was not interested in returning as feisty PR (public relations) guru Samantha Jones.

Sarah Jessica subsequently insisted she couldn't "imagine" doing another movie without Cattrall, insisting simply reading the script for the proposed "Sex and the City 3" would have to be enough for her.

"We were excited about it," she told U.S. breakfast show "Today" of the third film's premise in November (18). "I thought it was an exquisite, unbearably painful, heartbreaking, joyful story, that felt like the beginning in a lot of ways, but it appears for the time being that that will have to be sufficient, just having read the script will have to be enough for me... Sorry!"

Fans have been eagerly waiting for more "Sex and the City" ever since the show, which aired from 1998 to 2004, was adapted for the big screen, with the first film premiering in 2008 and a sequel, "Sex and the City 2", released in 2010.
